Pet Urgent Care Services at Country Hills Pet Hospital
What is considered an urgent care situation for my pet?
An urgent care situation would be if your pet has a problem with their eyes, limping, multiple episodes of vomiting, not eating, lethargy, or other situations that could be considered urgent care appointments.
Can I just bring my pet in for an urgent care or do I need an appointment?
You do need an appointment scheduled for your urgent care. You would just give us a call. Typically, we are able to get you in the same day for urgent care exams.
How do pet urgent care appointments differ from emergency veterinarians?
Urgent care appointments are scheduled, where you bring your pet in and leave them with us for the day, and then they will be worked into our schedule. In an emergency, you bring them in immediately and stay while we figure out what is going on with your pet and their correct treatment plan.
What should I bring with me when I bring my pet in for an urgent care appointment?
You could bring any current medications they are on, and knowing what food they are on would be two good things to know when you're coming in for your urgent care appointment.
How much time will an urgent care appointment take for my pet?
An urgent care appointment typically will take several hours. That is why we have you leave your pet with us and come back the same day for pickup.
What kind of treatments are offered during urgent care appointments for my pet?
All of our normal veterinary services are also available through our urgent care services.
Will I need a follow-up appointment after my pet has an urgent care visit?
That depends on what we're seeing your pet for, but most likely, your pet will need some form of a follow-up.
Are urgent care appointments available after hours for my pet?
Our urgent care services are not an after-hours service.
Is my pet’s urgent care covered by pet insurance?
Typically, that will be covered normally through your pet insurance.
