With new, upgraded technology like the endoscope, veterinarians are able to examine nasal cavities, esophagus, stomach, and intestines. Through a tiny camera, the doctors are able to track the scopes progress through a video monitor feed. The endoscope is also able to collect biopsies (or samples) of tissues that can be sent in for analysis by a specialist.
Physical Therapy Room
Our physical therapy room allows Sarah, CVT, CCRP to work one on one with physical therapy patients- whether they are walking on the underwater treadmill, relaxing in the whirlpool, or performing therapeutic exercises- they are able to focus without interruption.
Underwater Treadmill Therapy
Underwater Treadmill Therapy provides the ability to strengthen muscles while minimizing stress on the joints and bones through the buoyancy of the water. In addition to building and strengthening muscles, the warm water environment helps to increase overall flexibility and range of motion. There is a tremendous amount of variability to an underwater treadmill, including speed, water depth, and jet resistance. Underwater Treadmill Therapy can be used for post-op recovery, arthritis, weight loss, and athletic conditioning.
Aquatic Bioelectric Therapy (Whirlpool Therapy) is a form of treatment combining the benefits of whirlpool therapy with the pain management benefits of electroceutical stimulation therapy. This provides pain relief for a variety of conditions. Candidates for Aquatic Bioelectric Therapy are those with sprains/strains, orthopedic surgery patients, osteoarthritis, and chronic pain.
Laser Therapy is a drug-free, noninvasive treatment that is used to treat a variety of injuries, neurological problems, and pain- including pain from chronic arthritis. It uses a beam of laser light to deeply penetrate tissue without damaging it. Laser energy induces a biological response in the cells called "photo-bio-modulation" which leads to reduced pain, reduced inflammation, and increased healing speed. The laser light is delivered through a noninvasive hand-piece to treat the affected area. Your pet may feel a gentle and soothing warmth. Most treatments take a matter of minutes. After surgery, patients receiving laser therapy have less pain and their recovery is faster with fewer complications.
Sound Wave Therapy is a pain-free, drug-free, and non-invasive treatment that is used to reduce lameness, improve mobility, and relieve pain in dogs with: osteoarthritis, tendon/ligament injuries, wounds, bone fractures, back pain, and shoulder instability. Sound Wave is an alternative to surgery, increasing non-steroidal pharmaceuticals, or as part of a rehab plan. Sound Wave Therapy helps stimulate healing from within by releasing sound waves to the specified area. These sound waves release higher energy than laser therapy (which uses light energy) and result in deeper penetration. The damaged cells are stimulated in such a way that the end result is increased circulation, an anti-inflammatory reaction, relief from pain, and acceleration of the healing process.
Fully digital ultrasound allows high quality, non-invasive imaging of the abdomen and chest. Many diseases can be accurately diagnosed with ultrasound.
Digital radiology provides images literally in seconds. These images can be enlarged and enhanced to improve diagnostic capability. The images can also be electronically transmitted to a board certified veterinary radiologist for review and the consultation report can be returned in minutes if needed.
